1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using KnowledgeBit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
KnowledgeBit is a quiz competition platform that allows users to create, host, and participate in quizzes. The platform supports optional Bitcoin Lightning Network rewards for quiz winners.
3. User Accounts
You may create an account using Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
4. Quiz Creation and Participation
- Quiz creators are responsible for the content of their quizzes.
- Quizzes must not contain illegal, offensive, or harmful content.
- Participants join quizzes voluntarily and provide their name and optional Lightning address.
- Quiz creators may not modify questions while a quiz is live.
5. Lightning Payments
- Rewarded quizzes require the creator to deposit funds via Lightning Network before activation.
- A 5% platform fee is applied to all rewarded quizzes.
- Payouts are sent automatically to winners' Lightning addresses upon quiz completion.
- KnowledgeBit is not responsible for failed payments due to incorrect Lightning addresses.
- Funds deposited in escrow are non-refundable once the quiz is activated.
6. Scoring and Fair Play
Our scoring system includes anti-cheat measures. Answers submitted in under 1 second receive zero points. The platform reserves the right to disqualify participants suspected of cheating.
7. Data Deletion
Quizzes with completed participants or processed payouts cannot be deleted to maintain record integrity. You may request account deletion from your profile page.
8. Limitation of Liability
KnowledgeBit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to lost funds, data loss, or service interruptions.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
